In 2015, we opened a music-themed cafe only a short distance away in Lytham on the Fylde coast. Apart from selling amazing food & drink, we also sold vinyl records too. Many of our regular customers enjoyed visiting the cafe, ordering a coffee then browsing though our eclectic record selection. When we took the tough decision to close the cafe in the summer of 2020 (during the pandemic), plans were already in motion to open a Premium Audio / Hi-Fi showroom just outside Preston at Clifton Fields, we absolutely knew vinyl would be an important part of our offering and Vinyl Groove Music was established late 2020.

We created a dedicated website and have been shipping vinyl records across the UK. For those who live close to our showroom they enjoy browsing through our selection, whilst enjoying a coffee. There really is no better feeling than recommending an album and someone walks out with that album, we can even provide a small taster and stream via Roon on many of our showroom systems before buying.

Our selection is ‘typically’ focused on the classic rock bands e.g. The Beatles, Rollings Stones, Led Zeppelin, Pink Floyd, Doors etc but my own love for Blue Note Jazz and Americana features prominently. Another popular ‘genre’ if you wish is Audiophile recordings e.g. Abbey Road half-speed masters and the Acoustic Sounds series from Verve. It is far easier to conduct some virtual browsing or you are welcome to call into the showroom to take a closer look.

Over the next few months, our plan is to expand our dedicated vinyl section(s) in the showroom, watch this space.
